How can we help our community more effectively locally here?

Organise regular group's social gatherings and discuss ongoing issues, such as unemployment, discrimination, provide assistance to any needy individual/family or in any disaster conditions such as local fire, floods, etc. Conduct worshops to help local students in their career goals selection, etc.

How can we help our country more effectively over there?

In my opinion we should first start on a small scale/projects, such as helping deserving students providing monetary help who can not afford to pay their tuition/books etc. We should first start with NED Univ. studends and then Inshaallah later expand this effort to other Universities of Pakistan. Also we can provide assistance (in selection of Institution, providing some assistance getting them aquainted to local systems, etc.) to students who wants to persue graduate studies in USA. Provide some technical help to governmental agencies in Pakistan on development of latest engineering codes and practices, etc.

Any suggestions on getting together, frequency of meetings

Group meetings should be atleast once every other month.

Any other project that you would like to do

I would like to participate and help organise if any camping trip during summer time is planned.
I also would like participate in providing assisstance to needy students scholorships program that Moqeem and Shariq has started for NED students ( would like to sponsor at least 2 scholorships at this time).
