How can we help our country more effectively over there?

By setting up grants and scholarships for equipment, training, tuition, etc. Also by donation of lab and other equipment that have been written off by companies here. Mentoring senior projects that are relevant both, nationally and internationally. A focus on energy and the environment may be appropriate. Urban planning also is a very important arena for projects and applied research.
